Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026
This policy explains what personal data Divine Budget Entertainment collects when you enquire about, book, or hire equipment or services from us — whether through our website, WhatsApp, phone, or in person — and how we use, store, and protect it.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and physical address
- Event or hire details: date, venue, guest count, services or equipment requested
- For corporate customers: company name and KRA PIN
- Identity documents (e.g. National ID, Passport, or company registration) and ID numbers, collected for equipment hire bookings as a fraud-prevention and accountability measure
- Payment records: amounts, dates, and method (M-Pesa or bank transfer) — we do not collect or store your M-Pesa PIN or full card details
- Records of your communications with our team
Why we collect it
- To prepare quotations and confirm bookings
- To reconcile deposits and payments against your booking
- To verify identity for equipment hire, and recover or hold you accountable for hired equipment that is not returned
- To contact you about your booking, event, or hire
- To keep accurate business and audit records
How it's stored and protected
Your data is stored in a secured database and file storage, accessible only to authorised Divine Budget Entertainment staff who need it to do their job. Every access to sensitive records — including identity documents — is logged. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Connections to our systems are encrypted.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary information with:
- Safaricom (M-Pesa), to process a payment you initiate
- Our bank, if you choose to pay by bank transfer
- Law enforcement or regulators, only where legally required
How long we keep it
We retain booking, payment, and identity records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet our legal and tax obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion where we're not required to keep it. Contact us at the contact details on our booking page to make a request.
